Give me some Skin

Tattoo’s. I don’t have any. I’ve been back – forth. Forth and back.

By definition – something which lasts a life time. Pfft. I can see how it can become addictive. When you’re in, you’re in.

Watch the trailer. Get excited. Beautiful in it’s simplicity, exquisite in execution.

Skin. Debut documentary from Director Ryan Hope.

One to watch. Fellow Northerner. Sound.

Aqua’s A/W Campaign. Shot by Kate Bellm. Styled by Kimi O’Neil. Art Direction Ted Young-Ing.

Easily one of my favourite shoots. Total pain in the arse to organise.

Gorgeous models. No attitudes. Lots of laughs. Amazing Art Direction.

Incredible outcome.

Looking back.

Looking back over fashion week.

Seeing some old faces. Meeting some new. The dangerous expanses of cobbles flanked by Street Style photographers. (Think I was propped up all week.)

Sunshine. Rain. More sunshine.

Fucking fabulous jewellery/hair/handbags/sunglasses/hats/SHOES.

A SIGN of the times.

Our current project – The Winter Lookbook, this season takes on a new guise. Producing something that reflects the mood of the collection without alienation can often be a challenge. Aqua has always been about reinvention, style revolution and rebirth. It’s something we pride ourselves on, but it can be controversial on a commercial level. Balance is easy to tip when you’re so immersed in something that has essentially been born from within.

Natural Born Killers. Aqua’s Winter Lookbook.

Put your money where your mouth is. Everyone loves a Lost Boy.

Concrete.

After copious amounts of Red Bull, we made it from the Press Day – to the Press Party. By this point I was vibrating, literally. Concrete had been pimped out courtesy of Alun Davis who transformed Concrete into a den of iniquity. Well kind of.

During the day we were shop based at Beak Street – meeting various members of the fashion press, BFC, etc etc. Here they were talked through the collections and had a sneaky preview of Spring 2012. The feedback has been great – Menswear’s new direction, or ‘the new beginning’ has been highly received and celebrated all the way from i-D and Dazed through to ——-> Sunday Times Style, whom i deem as the posh boys. Not sure why.

The launch was a great success, judging by the all the coloured hair – half of East London came along with the press, plus all those gorgeous people we have worked and collaborated with over the past year. (We are truly grateful, so we thought we’d ply you with Redbull and Techno…note all the RB cups – thanks Nina)

Thank you to everyone who came down.

//Special love to Ella and Ash @ Ella Dror PR. We love you//

Nameless – To Date.

This weekend we shot Aqua’s first fashion film, which is nameless to date.

As with anything, there are various components that make for either a successful, or unsuccessful project.

The aforementioned components can be from the smallest detail, to the biggest prop. There are also hurdles. Some you can climb, others you have to smash…

Our components tell a great story. Interwoven not only with friendships, but history and a glimpse of what’s to come.

Thank you.

To all said components – you know who you are.
